Who Can Participate in Wraparound?

Wraparound is a collaborative process designed to support youth with complex needs and their families. Participation includes a variety of individuals and groups who play essential roles in building and implementing a successful plan

Youth and Families

  • Youth: Typically, the youth experiencing challenges at home, school, or within the community is the primary focus of the Wraparound process.

  • Parents/Guardians: Family members or caregivers provide critical input, ensure the plan reflects their values and needs, and actively engage in decision-making.

Team Members

  • Family Supporters: Extended family members or close friends who serve as emotional or practical support for the family.

  • Natural Supports: Community members, neighbors, coaches, or faith leaders who are part of the family’s existing support system.

Service Providers

  • Mental Health Professionals: Counselors, therapists, or psychologists who address emotional and behavioral health needs.

  • Educators: Teachers, school counselors, and administrators help ensure educational stability and success.

  • Social Workers: Case managers or advocates who connect the family with resources and monitor progress.

  • Healthcare Providers: Physicians, nurses, or specialists contribute to addressing medical needs.
